SAE India was formed in India in 1994-95.
Dr. Pawan Goenka, appointed as advisor for
India.
The SAE president held discussions with the
Indian automotive industry.
The
Western India Section was established
IIn 2007 Baja SAE India was launched
´ In 2008, Formula SAE India was launched with the
name of SUPRA SAE India.
EFFICYCLE
SAE EffiCycle. This
competition, conceptualized by two young engineers and started in 2010, EFFI-CYCLE” derived from
Efficient-Cycle promote the objective of providing opportunity to the students
to conceive, design and fabricate a three wheel configuration vehicle
powered by human-electric hybrid power and capable of seating two passengers catering
to the day to day mobility needs

SUPRA
SAEINDIA is an exciting competition which presents the Engineering Students
with a challenging task of designing, simulating and modeling a formula type
race car.
BAJA
The Baja SAE competition originated
at the University of South Carolina in 1976,
Since that time, the Baja SAE
Series has grown to become a premier engineering design series for
university/College teams. The event has spanned across seven countries including
India
´ Baja SAE is an intercollegiate engineering design
competition for engineering students
with the object to replicate real-world
engineering design projects and their related challenges. The students must
function as a team to design, engineer, manufacture, test, promote a
single-seat, all-terrain, sporting vehicle.
´ SAE GBPEC
´ SAE GBPEC is a group of highly motivated,
passionate and dedicated students who work towards the ultimate goal of working
in the field of automobile.
´ The team comprises of students from a spectrum of
different departments and, who are passionate to pursue, explore, learn and
gain experience in automotive.
´ The Club was started back in 2013 by a small group
of students with the aim of gaining hands on experience of designing and
manufacturing of an automobile.
´ The club has grown in the last 4 years and
currently stands with a strength of over 60 members.

MECHVELO
In 2015 Team MECHVELO led by Mr. Navendu Vats
was involved in the designing
process of an ATV to compete in the Mahindra BAJA SAE 2016 under the guidance
of faculty Advisors:

The team went to represent our
college in the virtual MINI BAJA 2015 held at Chandigarh
ACTIVITIES OF CLUB
1)AUTOMOBILE CLASSES:
Student learns basics, mechanics and
dynamics of an automobile via interactive sessions
2) AUTOMOBILE WORKSHOP
Student of
this club participate in workshops like AUTOKRITI for the
enhancement of their knowledge of
automobile
3) SOFTWARE CLASSES
Part modeling, assembly, drafting, rendering
comes in the purview of CAD software like CATIA & SOLIDWORKS.
Simulation & analysis of the
various parts is done using the analysis software ANSYS.
